We have been gradually building our collection of embellished, studded belts. This new addition 'Raft' brings a new design element that immediately makes it stand out from its predecessors. To make this belt we start with a lovely vegetable tanned unlined leather which is first lasered to create the paisley cut-outs, before then being lasered again to create a textured burn out effect that leaves a 'relief' effect of paisley detail. At this stage the leather is then washed to pre-age it and finally the waves of antique silver and brass studs are added by hand. When it came to choosing a buckle we were immediately drawn to our antique silver filigree design buckle whose own etched design closely mimics the paisley texture of the belt strap. This makes for a real match made in heaven, a belt that is full of charm and style with a distinct vintage, boho, rock inspired edge to it - this belt could be great worn on an all black outfit, worn with denim or used as a centrepiece for ladies over a sweater or dress. Definitely a belt that is full of character and ideal for bringing even the simplest of outfits to life!
